The garden is not merely a place to relax: it is a true living herbarium. The geometric flower beds follow the original 18th-century design and host medicinal species once grown by the monks — sage, rue, lemon balm and wormwood.
At its centre, the great lime tree is over two hundred years old: local tradition holds it to be the tree under which the village families would sign their agreements.
