But how can you distinguish them? You need to look, and most importantly to touch.

What they are made of: Sandstone is made of sand. That is why it is rough.
Dolomia is made of algae. It seems incredible, but it is just like that. When it formed, many million years ago, these mountains were not mountains: they were lands covered by the sea!
